Remove WN9 and old ratings from Wot Numbers?
Please let me know by commenting below: could we remove some of the ratings from Wot Numbers?

The WN9 rating was launched summer 2016 and aimed to be simpler and better than WN8, but it never became popular. The ones behind it has not added expected values for new tanks, and not rebalanced the values for existing tanks as they have been nerfed or buffed.

The first rating was the EFF rating, then came the WN-ratings. Wot Numbers now support both EFF, WN7, WN8 and WN9. Calculating all these ratings takes some capacity, so removing some of them would speed up the system a bit and make it easyer to maintain the system.

Please leave a comment below: should we remove some of the non-relevant ratings?

Would be nice to get some feedback about it smile

    Hi

I would think that just WN8 would be sufficient - it is the most widely used

WN7 is definitely obsolete, EFF - what's that (chuckle) and WN9 never came to light

    Just my opinion

  • Excellor8 - 10.12.2018

Would have to agree with Armorslayer.  WN8 is sufficient, 7 is outdated and 9 isn't reliable for now. would also help network speed with less data to analyse.

  • Okuni - 10.12.2018

    Agree.

Right now only WN8 is interesting.

  • Blachoszperka - 10.12.2018

Agreed with others - WN8 is enough.

  • PjhDeKoning - 13.12.2018

I also agree, WN8 is enough

  • mintik - 14.12.2018

Yeah I agree, WN8 is the only useful stat at this moment. If WN9 ever becomes popular or even WN10, you can always add the rating after.

Totally agree removing them if it means faster speeds.

  • Zavar - 15.12.2018

I personally would like to see WN8 and WN9 retained, WN9 for potential "future" development if it actually gains more traction.

Like I said, he can always add WN9 back later.

I think wn8 is the most relevant among the majority of players.  I would venture to say that outside of stat nerds like those of us here, the vast majority of players don't even know wn9 exists.

    WN8 only for me

In addition to previous posts, rather than WN9 / EFF I would like to see what type of MM i had in battle -2/-1/0/+1/+2  :)

Good idea, but add it as an idea in a separate forum topic.

I've been thinking about this more recently.  I had hopes that WN9 would be revived, but it definitely seems dead now.  I would be if just WN8 was retained.  Is there potential that WG's PR could be added?

Probably the most versatile option would to maintain all the ratings in the database, but let the end user decide which ones show in the client.

Personally, I want to turn all the ratings off.  My opinion is that ratings that do not include win/draw/lose in the forumulation are leaving out the most important aspect of the rating.  So, if I have the option to turn off WNx, I'll take it.

This is already possible in Wot Numbers, you can select exactly what coluns to show in both tanks- and battle view. Check out the user guides for more info.
